Hand detailing studio · Kota Laksamana, Melaka

A quiet bay, a slow rinse, a finish that holds.

Linktura is a four-bay detailing studio off Jalan Kemboja. We treat one car at a time, by hand, with the kind of pace that catches the small things — the watermark behind the wing mirror, the swirl under the side moulding, the haze on the headlamp lens before it turns yellow.

01

One car, one bay

Your appointment is the only car in that bay for the day. No queueing, no rushed work, no rotation between vehicles.

02

Two-bucket wash, always

Grit guards, separate rinse, mitt swapped every panel. The basics done properly are the reason your paint stays scratch-free.

03

Monsoon-ready coatings

Our 9H ceramic is layered for the Strait of Melaka humidity, not lifted from a generic spec sheet. Three-year warranty, written.

Tagged photo report

Every package over RM400 ships with a photo set of the work — clay pickup, gauge readings, swirl panels — sent to your phone.

What we do

Five services, run by detailers who pick up the small jobs first.

We are not a chain wash. We turn around fewer cars on purpose, so every car leaves with the same attention. Pick a single service or layer them into a package — we will tell you honestly which order makes sense for your paint.

The studio

Built for slow work, not throughput.

Four bays, six staff, climate-controlled coating room, water filtered to under 30 ppm so we do not chase water spots after every rinse. The pace is slower than a roadside wash because the work is closer to a clinic than a queue.

  • RUPES BigFoot polishers, Cargo Wax sealants, P&S decon kits.
  • Filtered DI rinse on every car, no minerals left on the paint.
  • Separate cure room so coatings set without dust.
  • Photo logbook for every car — we keep the history.

Bundled care

Pick a package or bring your own brief.

Three set bundles cover what most owners ask for. If your car needs something we have not listed — concours prep, a long-haul road-trip wax, a fleet of two — ring us. We will quote the day, not a menu.

How a visit goes

Booked, briefed, finished — in five steps.

  1. 1

    WhatsApp the car

Send us a photo, the paint colour and the last time it was polished. We sketch out a plan and a price range within the same day.

  2. 2

    Booked slot, no overlap

You pick a window. The bay is yours for that window — no one else is queued behind you.

  3. 3

    Walk-around at drop-off

We mark up the panels together with a gauge and a torch. Anything we agree on is written on the work order before we start.

  4. 4

    Photo updates

Mid-job pictures land on your phone. You see the gauge readings, the clay pickup, the polish residue — the work as it happens.

  5. 5

    Collected under our lights

We hand the car over under the same LEDs we polished it under, so you see what you paid for before you drive home.

What owners say

A few words from the cars we have looked after.

“Booked the Reset on my 2018 Mazda 6 before a family wedding in Ipoh. They sent gauge readings before they polished — nobody had ever showed me that. Car came back honestly cleaner than the day I bought it.”

“The ceramic on my X3 has now done two monsoons. Rain still sheets off, the front bumper does not look like sandpaper. I bring it back every twelve months for the free inspection and they wash it as if it just arrived.”

BMW X3 · Bukit Beruang

“I bought a used C-Class that looked tired. Linktura did the two-stage correction and a 9H coat over two days. The price was higher than the chain wash down the road and the result was four levels above it. No regret.”

Questions, answered

Before you book.

If yours is not below, WhatsApp us — we usually answer the same hour.

Do I need to book a slot before driving in?

Yes please. We treat one car at a time so we keep a tight schedule. Walk-ins are sometimes possible on weekday mornings, but a booked slot is the only way to be certain we can take the car the same day.

How long does a full detail take in your studio?

A snow foam wash with a quick interior reset is about 90 minutes. A full exterior plus interior detail runs roughly 6 hours. A two-stage paint correction with a ceramic top is a two-day job, so you would drop the car off in the morning and collect it the following afternoon.

Can ceramic coating really survive a Malaysian monsoon?

Properly. We layer a 9H SiO2 coat after a full decontamination, cure it overnight in the bay, and seal the rubber and trim separately. Done that way, the topcoat sheds rain water cleanly for at least three years. We re-inspect it every twelve months for free.

What products do you use on the leather and dashboard?

Water-based interior cleaners with neutral pH, plus a UV-blocking dressing for the dash. Nothing greasy, nothing perfumed beyond what you can choose. If you have allergies we will skip fragrances entirely — just tell us when you book.

Do you collect and deliver the car?

Inside the Melaka city limits, yes. There is a flat RM45 fee for collection plus delivery within a 12 km radius of the studio. Beyond that we will quote per trip.

My paint is already heavily swirled. What can you do?

We measure the clear-coat thickness with a gauge first, then choose between a one-step polish and a two-step correction. A heavily swirled daily driver usually responds well to two stages. We will show you the before and after under our studio LEDs so you can see the result before it leaves.

Is a deposit required for ceramic work?

For 9H ceramic and multi-day paint correction jobs we ask for a 30% deposit at the time of booking. It is refundable up to 48 hours before the appointment. Single-day services do not require a deposit.
