About

A small studio, run by people who hate doing it twice.

Linktura started in a single-bay shop-house in 2019 with a borrowed polisher and a stubborn rule: one car at a time. Six years on we still keep that rule, even when the diary is full. Slow work has a way of paying back — in retention, in referrals, and in the kind of finish you can show off in afternoon sun.

The story

From a borrowed polisher to four bays in Kota Laksamana.

Two of us grew up in the family garage off Jalan Kemboja, watching uncles tackle weekend repaints and bumper repairs. We were the kids handed the cotton rags. A decade later, when both of us had switched out of office jobs, we started Linktura out of that same lane. The first car we coated belonged to a school friend; the photo of it after the rinse is still on the studio wall.

The early years were spent learning the difference between what we could buy on the cheap and what the paint actually needed. We bought a used RUPES polisher off a closing shop in Kuala Lumpur. We threw away three shopping baskets of imported wax that turned out to be re-bottled. We learned, slowly, that the answer is usually fewer products applied more carefully — not more products applied in a hurry.

Today the studio runs four bays under indigo LEDs, with a separate cure room and a filtered-water rinse line. Bookings are mostly by referral. Most of our coating clients have been with us long enough that we have records of their last three details on file.

What we hold to

Four principles, written on the bay wall.

Quote the day, not the menu

Every paint is different. Two cars of the same model can need different products. We look at yours, gauge it, and tell you what it needs — not what is most profitable to sell.

Photo every step

If we polished it, you see the residue. If we clayed it, you see the pickup pad. The paper trail is for you, not for us — trust earned, not asked for.

Stop when it is done

A bay timer does not finish the job. The finish does. If a panel needs another twenty minutes, the panel gets it. The diary stretches; the work does not get rushed.

Stand behind the work

Coatings come with a written, three-year warranty. If a problem surfaces in that window, we re-do the panel free. No haggling, no fine print.

The kit

What we keep on the shelf.

  • RUPES BigFoot 21mm & LHR75E — long-throw and short-throw polishers for full-panel and tight-radius work.
  • P&S Decon kit — iron remover, tar remover, panel prep before any coating.
  • Cargo Wax CW9H & CW1Y — the two coatings we layer most often.
  • BigBoi BlowR Mini — the dryer that gets water out of mirror housings.
  • Bissell SpotClean Pro — interior extraction for fabric seats.
  • Filtered DI rinse line — under-30 ppm water on every car.
